I went to Hill recovery and I enjoyed the experience. The staff is good, caring and patient. The groups are nice and orderly, but are fun at times. I’ve learned a lot of good living quality and strategies to use through life. The AA meeting were helpful to hear and relate to other people stories. Overall Hill is great place to overcome addiction. I would highly recommend this place to anyone struggling with addiction.

When I was 8 my buddy and I first stole our first beer from my parents. The rush was an exciting feeling that I liked or loved rather, from then on I would find anything that could put that rush in me. I didn’t start drinking until I was 14 and that’s when I got my first buzz from a mind altering substance. Drinking became a must with my friends and me and led to smoking pot. I would ditch school to smoke and the rush was really in me after that, pot eventually led to pills and from pills led to speed. I eventually didn’t care what I took just as long as I was leaded every day. Eventually I started mixing drugs to see what more I can feel or not feel. From mixing ecstasy with Ketamine to speed and heroine I soon found myself at a Hill treatment center when I was 22/23. I took Suboxone and stayed clean off heroine for 3-4 years, but after I coined out I stopped going to meeting and started drinking. With my previous habit of mixing drugs alcohol wasn’t enough. I started taking pills like Xanix with the alcohol for years every day. I started blacking out by the end of the days and waking up in hospitals. I signed back into Hill and wanted to be sober but wasn’t taking it serious. Eventually I started using all sorts of drugs again and crashed in a wall losing my car, my job and my life. Since I have been working the program on a more serious manner and have had my slip ups but now I feel I can take on my disease with the help of Hill and the great counselors.

My time at Hill was very educational and supplied me with tools to continue my sobriety. They hold me accountable with breathalyzers and drug tests. The material was very useful and I gained great friends and support to continue in sobriety. The staff is amazing, friendly, loving and companionate. I am grateful to them and the ability to continue with aftercare.

Today I have completed my program at Hill. I have mixed emotions. I have found such a support system here. This program has been an experience for me. My only regret is that I didn’t do at a long time ago. This program has been so well balanced with regard to a verity of topics and tools shown not only by the wonderful staff but by the counselors as well. It really doesn’t matter what age you are. We all have come here with the same thing in common. We want to get healthy and live a better life. A life that we all deserve. The staff and counselors are completely non judgmental and so supportive. Thank you so much. I will be coming bad for after care and look forward to continue a life of soberly. I have learned so much now for the first time I have tools and skills to continue a life of sobriety. One day at a time has a whole new and important meaning. Thank you for this opportunity to grow and live my life with dignity.

I was unsure about recovery at first and I thought my life was doomed to use and eventually death. Then I found Hill and my life turned around. They took me in and became like family. They taught me how to cope with life without drugs and started me on a path to recovery. They are respectful and care about how can we have come and where we are going. My experience at Hill has been lengthening. I have never experienced so many people with my same problem (an alcoholic) some testimonies are worse or the same as mine but we all have the same core, I don’t feel alone.
The counselors have been very patient and understanding. When I go into the office I am greeted like I am the only one in rehab. All the counselors are very welcoming and concerned about my sobriety. They don’t look down on me they make me feel special and welcomed. The counselors seem to know me without me saying anything I feel I can go to an one there and I will get back positive feedback.
I like to share stories, because some of them I can relate to. No matter how outrageous they may sound.

Upon coming to Hill I was welcomed with open arms to a warm, loving, supportive environment by highly professional staff. All the staff at Hill knew me by name, I wasn’t just another # or client. I was treated with the upmost respect. When I spoke about my issues I was heard and helped. I absolutely love Hill counseling and all the staff. When I first came to Hill, I was depressed, I couldn't control my life, and I was about to get my daughter taken from me. The staff here really helped me open up. The first person I opened up to in about 3 years was the counselor Melanie. She just made me feel comfortable and I could tell she truly cared about me. After that. I had stuffed inside for years, out in the open. The staff members didn't treat me like I'm just someone they make money from like the other places. Some would even call me on the weekends to make sure I'm okay and not relapsing. That feeling of support I got from everyone here is what helped me stay sober through all my struggles. No where else helped me as much as Hill did.

I would like to thank all the staff at Hill alcohol and drug treatment for their assistance in my recovery. They have been very attentive and caring in helping me throughout my 8 weeks of sessions. I have learned a lot about myself and my prior addiction thanks to their lessons and teachings. My counselor Linda was amazing through this process. The first day I signed up at Hill, I felt very comfortable, an employee had me answer may questions about myself. I also found out that she like most of all the other employees at Hill are recovered alcohol/ addicts. I never felt judged nor felt out of place. All the employees along with owners Rocky and Bebbie are down to earth good people. The counselors are very professional and very knowledgeable about what you are going through and feeling. They truly care. During the course of two months, I learned coping skills, how to deal with grief, how to stay sober was introduced to a meetings and other supporting topics I was part of a large group of fellow alcohol/ addicts. I do not like to share deep feelings to anyone, but because of the safe environment I was able to open up and share. The things I learned at Hill allowed me to have insight to the reasons why I was drinking and ways to deal with life's challenges without numbing them with alcohol. I was never in jail or prison never had a but my turn was just around the corner. With God's grace, I was spared. During my time at Hill I felt a comrade with people ages 18-63. We all had something in common with our disease. I learned from everyone's experiences, so me very thought provoking events that they shared about their lives. Many were lucky to be alive. I also revived my connection with God. You need help, topping on your own is almost impossible. This disease is like any other disease, seek professional help.

I was at a point during a 2 years long relapse back to my addiction, that I was afraid I wasn't ever going to stop again. I was destroying my family and everything I worked for in 5 years of previous sobriety. This disease can take all of and individuals best intentions, hard work, and positive achievements away in an instant like an eraser. Hill recovery was a compass that pointed me back to a healthy lifestyle. I learned new aspects of recovery that iI hadn't previously known, while also refreshing methods and techniques I had forgotten. I am back on a healthy path thanks to Hill Recovery.

I think Hill is the best program I have found. As a foreigner I can compare with other programs and Hill is the best I researched. Very accommodating to each person and for me very important that they were available 24/7 for me. And also how they involve family. Each counselor handles your case direct.
