I went to Hill recovery and I enjoyed the experience. The staff is good, caring and patient. The groups are nice and orderly, but are fun at times. I’ve learned a lot of good living quality and strategies to use through life. The AA meeting were helpful to hear and relate to other people stories. Overall Hill is great place to overcome addiction. I would highly recommend this place to anyone struggling with addiction.

Since I came to Hill recovery my life has made a change for the better. Hill has helped me to understand and overcome a major obstacle that has been in my way for many years. I am glad that I have made the decision to come clean and with the help of people like Linda (my counselor) being a good listener and really caring about my situation I felt comfortable making the move in the right direction. When I was 8 my buddy and I first stole our first beer from my parents. The rush was an exciting feeling that I liked or loved rather, from then on I would find anything that could put that rush in me. I didn’t start drinking until I was 14 and that’s when I got my first buzz from a mind altering substance. Drinking became a must with my friends and me and led to smoking pot. I would ditch school to smoke and the rush was really in me after that, pot eventually led to pills and from pills led to speed. I eventually didn’t care what I took just as long as I was leaded every day. Eventually I started mixing drugs to see what more I can feel or not feel. From mixing ecstasy with Ketamine to speed and heroine I soon found myself at a Hill treatment center when I was 22/23. I took Suboxone and stayed clean off heroine for 3-4 years, but after I coined out I stopped going to meeting and started drinking. With my previous habit of mixing drugs alcohol wasn’t enough. I started taking pills like Xanix with the alcohol for years every day. I started blacking out by the end of the days and waking up in hospitals. I signed back into Hill and wanted to be sober but wasn’t taking it serious. Eventually I started using all sorts of drugs again and crashed in a wall losing my car, my job and my life. Since I have been working the program on a more serious manner and have had my slip ups but now I feel I can take on my disease with the help of Hill and the great counselors.

My time at Hill was very educational and supplied me with tools to continue my sobriety. They hold me accountable with breathalyzers and drug tests. The material was very useful and I gained great friends and support to continue in sobriety. The staff is amazing, friendly, loving and companionate. I am grateful to them and the ability to continue with aftercare.

Today I have completed my program at Hill. I have mixed emotions. I have found such a support system here. This program has been an experience for me. My only regret is that I didn’t do at a long time ago. This program has been so well balanced with regard to a verity of topics and tools shown not only by the wonderful staff but by the counselors as well. It really doesn’t matter what age you are. We all have come here with the same thing in common. We want to get healthy and live a better life. A life that we all deserve. The staff and counselors are completely non judgmental and so supportive. Thank you so much. I will be coming bad for after care and look forward to continue a life of soberly. I have learned so much now for the first time I have tools and skills to continue a life of sobriety. One day at a time has a whole new and important meaning. Thank you for this opportunity to grow and live my life with dignity.

Thanks to the wonderful and nurturing staff at Hill alcohol and drug treatment I have my life back, and it’s beautiful. From day one, each staff member made a specific part to get to know me which made me feel welcomed with open arms. Hill provided me with a safe environment where I was able to grow exponential. I was provided not only wonderful one on one and group therapy time but I was also given an education regarding drug addiction. The therapy and education combined allowed me to recognize all the reason for my addiction and I was also able to learn how to handle life situations in healthy and sober way. What amazes me most is that I know myself better now than I ever did before. I was unsure about recovery at first and I thought my life was doomed to use and eventually death. Then I found Hill and my life turned around. They took me in and became like family. They taught me how to cope with life without drugs and started me on a path to recovery. They are respectful and care about how can we have come and where we are going. My experience at Hill has been lengthening. I have never experienced so many people with my same problem (an alcoholic) some testimonies are worse or the same as mine but we all have the same core, I don’t feel alone.
The counselors have been very patient and understanding. When I go into the office I am greeted like I am the only one in rehab. All the counselors are very welcoming and concerned about my sobriety. They don’t look down on me they make me feel special and welcomed. The counselors seem to know me without me saying anything I feel I can go to an one there and I will get back positive feedback.
I like to share stories, because some of them I can relate to. No matter how outrageous they may sound.
Hill has helped me a lot and I love the idea where I can come in for counseling when I am finished with my therapy.

Upon coming to Hill I was welcomed with open arms to a warm, loving, supportive environment by highly professional staff. All the staff at Hill knew me by name, I wasn’t just another # or client. I was treated with the upmost respect. When I spoke about my issues I was heard and helped. I absolutely love Hill counseling and all the staff.
